How does Maison Asrar Wood Intense smell?
Most of the middle is made of collective terms: Spicy, Balsamic and Woody are accord words, not named ingredients, so they describe a feel (dry spice, a sweet resinous warmth, timber) rather than a specific plant. The one named floral is orris, the powdery, rooty, slightly buttery root of the iris, which explains the floral label and gives the top a smooth, dry softness, while the rest of the middle is left deliberately vague.
Oud, moss and ambergris take the base. Ambergris is salty and smooth, moss earthy and damp, and oud dark, resinous, faintly medicinal wood.
