Regent is a hesperidic and ambery listing that pairs three citrus notes and ginger with jasmine, orange blossom and orris, then rests on a six-note base led by ambergris, sandalwood and tonka.
Notes as Maison Asrar lists them on its website, read on 24 October 2026.
How does Maison Asrar Regent smell?
Hesperidic simply means citrus, and here it is a full set: bergamot, mandarin and grapefruit run from floral-bitter through sweet to tart, with ginger adding a zesty, faintly peppery sparkle. The heart moves to white flowers. Jasmine and orange blossom are heady and sweet, and orris, the root of the iris, adds a smooth, powdery softness that links the bright top to the floral middle.
Six base notes is a long list: ambergris (salty, smooth, skin-warm), cedarwood, musk, patchouli, sandalwood and tonka. Each probably adds something modest: clean dry timber, creaminess, earthiness, a soft sweetness. Ambery in the family words points to the warm, rounded glow they share. On paper this is a bright citrus-floral that resolves into a smooth, woody and gently sweet base, more polished than rich.

What Maison Asrar's own page says about Regent
Maison Asrar's product page for Regent gives its family as hesperidic and ambery.
It also puts words of its own on three of the notes: bergamot (citrus, fresh, elegant), ginger (spicy, fresh, bright) and grapefruit (citrus, fresh, sparkling).
The label in the shop's photo of Regent reads Royal Collection.
The note list on FragranceGems' own product page names nothing that this list lacks.
Who might like Maison Asrar Regent?
People who like a citrus-and-ginger sparkle but want it supported by creamy woods and a soft ambery glow, not a purely cologne-like finish. The sandalwood, tonka and musk combination makes the base smooth and enveloping. To place it, read the other hesperidic or ambery pages in the range and watch how each one balances its citrus against woods.
