Maison Asrar perfumes in the ambery family

Ambery perfumes are built on amber accords and balsamic resins: labdanum, benzoin, ambergris, incense and a warm vanilla edge. Amber in perfumery is not the fossil resin itself but a blend, usually of labdanum, vanilla and benzoin. The result smells warm, slightly sweet and a little powdery. When a pyramid adds incense or myrrh, the amber turns drier and more smoky; with caramel or tonka it turns soft and edible.
