How does Maison Asrar Flair smell?
Flair has a crowded pyramid, with four notes in every layer. The top mixes pink berries and grapefruit (sweet-tart fruit and bitter citrus), incense (dry, smoky, resinous) and Green watery, a collective term that usually means a crisp, sap-like, wet-leaf freshness. The heart turns savoury: lavender is clean and herbal, nutmeg is warm and nutty-sweet, coffee brings a roasted, bitter note, and galbanum is a sharp green resin with an almost vegetal bite. On paper it is a green-and-roasted contrast rather than a simple fruity one.
The base is four notes again. Amber supplies warm, golden sweetness, cashmeran is a modern woody-musky material often described as soft, spicy and slightly smoky, patchouly (the list's spelling) brings dark, earthy depth, and vetiver adds dry, rooty grass. Together they explain the Oriental and Woody labels: a resinous, warm-woody floor under the green and bitter layers above. You can expect a dry, spiced, woody-amber impression with sharp green and coffee-bitter edges, more savoury than sweet.
What Maison Asrar's own page says about Flair
Maison Asrar's product page for Flair gives its family as oriental and woody.
It also puts words of its own on three of the notes: incense (smoky, warm, atmospheric), lavender (fresh, aromatic, soft) and amber (warm, deep, rich).
Who might like Maison Asrar Flair?
Someone who likes complexity and a savoury, bitter-green edge: coffee, galbanum and incense next to grapefruit, over a dry amber-and-wood base. It is probably not for a reader who wants a simple fruity or floral list. For comparison, look through the Maison Asrar range for note lists that mix a smoky or resinous top with herbs, spice and a patchouli, vetiver and amber foundation.
Flair and the rest of the Maison Asrar range
Next to Maison Asrar Larimar, the shared part is grapefruit, lavender, nutmeg, patchouly and vetiver. The rest differs: pink pepper, cardamom, cashmere and leather there, pink berries, incense, coffee and galbanum in Flair.
Both list lavender, amber and patchouly. Maison Asrar Khateer goes on with lemon, orange and oakmoss; Flair with pink berries, grapefruit, incense and nutmeg.
Maison Asrar Cascade and Flair meet in lavender, amber and patchouly. After that the first lists lemon, ginger, melon and apple, the second pink berries, grapefruit, incense and nutmeg.
