What cedarwood is

Obtained by distilling the wood of cedar and similar conifers, cedarwood oil smells dry, like pencil shavings, with a sweet, balsamic warmth. A base-leaning woody note that gives structure to a blend. It pairs with vetiver, sandalwood, bergamot and leather, and provides a dry, clean backbone beneath florals and fruit.
